Six Ways Dallas Baptist University Helps You

1. Quality and Support That You Can Trust

You can be assured that your degree from DBU will make you more valuable to both employers and other institutions.  DBU is a fully accredited four-year university.  The faculty-to-student ratio is 14:1.  Our faculty is known for their academic excellence and appreciated for their "personal" approach.  The majority of our faculty currently practice in their fields.  This gives you an opportunity to receive an education that is proactive, timely, practical, and relevant.

2. Affordable Christ-centered Education

Earn a Christ-centered education at a lower cost to you! The DBU Patriot Veterans Opportunity Scholarship Program (VOSP) helps armed forces veterans receiving benefits under the Post 9/11 G.I. Bill (Chapter 33) by providing a $20/credit hour scholarship per academic year. In addition, if you qualify for the Yellow Ribbon Program, you can receive up to an additional $6,000 ($3,000 from DBU and $3,000 in matching VA funds)!

3. Flexible Schedules

Create your own schedule and take classes at your own pace! DBU offers weekend, evening, and online courses, with more than 26 different semester/term options.  Many students in our Patriot VOSP work full-time and are making great progress towards a college degree!

4. Convenience

Join nearly 2,000 students across the U.S. and around the world studying online at DBU, or “go local” and take advantage of DBU’s main campus in southwest Dallas or regional academic centers in Plano and Hurst-Colleyville, Texas.

5. Now You Can Make Experience Count!

Trade military experience for college credit through DBU’s acceptance of American Council on Education (ACE) credits.

6. Wide Variety of Programs

Earn a degree in one of DBU’s 69 undergraduate degrees including 22 accelerated bachelor’s/master’s degrees. If you already have a bachelor’s degree, you can use the Patriot VOSP to continue your education in one of DBU’s 24 master’s degrees, or more than 44 dual master’s degrees or 3 doctoral programs.
